Executive Team

Dr. John Ennis and Dr. Ruth Brown-Ennis founded Aigora to help market researchers, especially sensory and consumer scientists, adapt to the rise of automation and artificial intelligence in the workplace.   Each member of Aigora's executive team brings their own expertise to the challenge of coaching consumer scientists to success in the new machine age.

Dr. John Ennis received his PhD in mathematics and conducted his post-doctoral research in computational neuroscience at the University of California, Santa Barbara.


Dr. Ennis has won both the Food Quality and Preference "Researcher of the Future" and UCSB "Outstanding Educator" awards, has authored 30+ peer-reviewed articles in a variety of fields and 2 books in sensory and consumer science, is a member of the editorial boards of both Food Quality and Preference and Journal of Sensory Studies, is chair of ASTM E18.04 "Fundamentals of Sensory", and is a market research consultant with more than a decade of experience providing enterprise clients with sensory, consumer, and marketing insights.

Dr. Ruth Brown-Ennis is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics (VIPBG) at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she studies psychometric properties and measure-development in patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).


In her academic work, Dr. Brown-Ennis frequently utilizes state-of-the-art data scientific tools, and hence is ideally positioned to advise Aigora on the instruction and application of such tools in practice.
