SDSS 2019 Presentation - An Application of Linear Programming to Computational Statistics
Last week in Bellevue, WA, I was honored by the opportunity to present joint research conducted with Will Russ of the Institute of Perception. The talk covered a surprising application of linear programming to a commonly encountered problem in computational statistics, and demonstrated how our improved optimization approach allows us to solve instantly problems that only recently took more than 15 minutes to complete, if they completed at all.
